Hello Grandmaster Lee, In the past few days I have read as much as I can find about yourself and Hra Rang Do, and I have come to have an astronimical amount of respect for you and the art. As child I was very interested in participating in martial arts, unforntunately growing up in a single parent household with other brothers and sister, my mother was not able to afford it. From my childhood to present day, my passion for martial arts has been like a fire burning in my heart. Growing up I learn whatever I could by reading and watching other, in regard to martial arts. Years later, after leaving home around the age of seventeen and serving in the military, I am in a position to put myself through training. So for the past few years I have done my due diligence by searching several schools and arts, but none really felt right. In my journey I've experienced so called "masters/instructors" that only cared about making a sale and how much you were able to pay. Finally last night I came across your school and Hra Rang Do; I began researching all that I could find and reading your sites from top to bottom until about four in the morning, I just could not stop reading. It is a enormous breathe of fresh air to finally find someone who is not only extremely dedicated to the arts, but also extremely passionate about sharing this gift with others, in an effort to make them great. I will be visiting your school in West Los Angeles this week. I just hope that I am not at a disadvantage as I begin my lifes journey in the art and lifestyle of Hra Rang Do at the age of 28, opposed to someone who has been training since a child. I look forward to this journey...

P.S. Your outlook and feedback specifically on me beginning at 28 yrs. would be greatly appreciate. Once again thank you, I hope I have the honor of meeting you soon.

This is one of the most important phrases I hear in my head; every time I am tired, whenever I feel I cannot do more, when I want to stop and go sit down, I hear Grandmaster Lee saying, "No Excuses."

I get up and begin again; I study a bit more; I do one more task. I make myself become better.
That list of reasons in the article detailing the useless aspects of 'excuses' is worth reading and rereading.

Thank you, Hwarang Forever!
